Not everyone can be pretty or handsome or the most popular kid in school, but there’s something about being fat that makes you feel bad. At least I felt terrible. If you are looking to lose weight, there are some things that can guarantee your success.

One knows it will take time. You will not lose weight overnight. If it’s the beginning of the school year, set a goal for Christmas. If it’s Christmas, set your sights on summer vacation. Depending on your weight, it will probably take about six months to really get the ball rolling. If you start dieting, it’s normal to lose about 5 pounds in the first week and then slow down. It’s normal and don’t be disappointed. That’s all you have to do, even if you don’t seem to be getting results.

Another thing is that you need to be honest with yourself. You need to count calories and start exercising. No one should be watching you at all times of the day. Even if you get your parents’ support for your diet, they won’t know when you go to school and eat that extra cheese pizza for lunch. Only you will know. When you skip that walk or run to watch TV or just go outside, you’ll be the one suffering, not anyone else.

If you really stick to your diet plan you can lose 7 to 10 kilos. If you can do it for a month, you can do it for two months. It is 20 pounds. If you can do this for six months, you can literally lose 40 pounds. My mom lost 60 pounds in six months and wasn’t on a crazy diet.

In short. Make a reasonable plan, stick to it, and when you finish that plan make a new one. You are sure to succeed.
